Pamela S. Thibodeaux shares a uniquely crafted tale using only two characters. William seems to be a seeker who wants to hear what Sienna tells him. Sienna truly appears to have been tested in fire as she came close to suicide before developing a personal relationship with her savior. I enjoy the way the author develops the confrontation Sienna has with God. Her devastation made her doubt everything and let go of inhibitions that sometimes interfere with our attempts to speak with God and listen to what he says. I enjoyed this short story, and especially the scintillating descriptions author, Pamela Thibodeaux employed in it. There is an air of sensuality throughout the story, an attraction so strong between the two main characters that it left me almost breathless. But this is a sweet romance, no sexual scenes, and frankly, it didn’t need them. The romantic tension was kept high, but done in a respectful way that truly impressed me. It contained a good climax that built suddenly, and a satisfying conclusion to both the suspenseful part of the story as well as the romance. This is one story I am very glad to have read. Cathy’s Angel is fun and inspirational. It is well written and shows that even those who think they have everything under control need to accept a helping hand now and again. Pamela S. Thibodeaux has written a fast-paced, contemporary short story whose characters are both realistic and inspirational. Both Cathy and Jared have a deep faith and are not shy about bringing it into their daily lives. They are neither preachy nor overly verbal about their convictions but they definitely influence their lives, and this is clearly shown in all they say and do. I enjoyed the way Cathy and Jared dealt with her children, bringing them into focus and much as their own relationship. Cathy’s Angel is a short tale that is entertaining as well as inspiring. Pamela S. Thibodeaux’s motto is “Inspirational with an Edge!” Her short story Choices lives up to those words. This is a fast-paced story as inspirational as it is honest. The characters are realistic and their thoughts and emotions brought to the forefront. They struggle with decisions much the same way as any of us.
